Nikon F Name Plates (Part 20FB1-2033)
Name Plate Type 1
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, engraved «Nikon». The back of the name plate is widely machine hollowed out (to reduce weight?). A thin strip of sheet metal of identical shape is affixed behind the plate. The lower corners are angular and it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 1a
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, engraved «Nikon». Same as type 1, but the machine hollowed out area on the back of the name plate is smaller and more rectangular. A thin strip of sheet metal of identical shape is affixed behind the plate. The lower corners are angular and it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 2
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, engraved «Nikon». Same as type 1 and 1a, but the name plate now is entirely solid and there is no sheet metal backing. The lower corners are angular and it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 2g
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, same as type 2, but engraved «NIKKOR» in capital letters for German market. The name plate is entirely solid and the lower corners are angular, so it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 2h
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, same as type 2, but engraved «Nikkor» in caps/lower caps for German market. The name plate is entirely solid and the lower corners are angular, so it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 3
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, engraved «Nikon». Same as type 2, but the lower corners now are rounded for the front clamps of the Photomic FTN finder.

Name Plate Type 3g
Chrome metal or anodized black enamel finish, engraved «Nikkor», the lower corners are rounded for the Photomic FTN finder.
