Focusing Screen Type 1a

Frame with a shiny black enamel finish and with four notches on the upper edge of the frame, two on both the left and the right side. The screen is fixed in its frame by four screws with small heads. The focusing plate has a coarse fresnel structure. «Nikon F», «JAPAN» and the screen type is engraved on the frame and laid out white.

The following types of screens were produced: A, B, C

Frame with a less shiny black enamel finish and with four notches on the upper edge of the frame, two on both the left and the right side. The screen is fixed in its frame by four screws with small heads. The focusing plate has a coarse fresnel structure. The white lettering «Nikon F» and «JAPAN» now is stamped on. The screen type still is engraved on the frame and laid out white.

The following types of screens were produced: A, B, C

Frame with a dull black finish and with only two notches on the upper edge of the frame on the right side. The screen is fixed in its frame by four screws with small heads. The focusing plate has a coarse fresnel structure. The white lettering «Nikon F», «JAPAN» is stamped on the frame. The screen type still is engraved on the frame and laid out white.

The focusing plate has a coarse fresnel structure. The white lettering «Nikon F», «JAPAN» and now also the screen type is stamped on the frame.

The focusing plate has a finer fresnel structure. The white lettering «Nikon F», «JAPAN» and the screen type is stamped on the frame.

Type 3g: The word «Nikon» has been deleted for use in German market Nikkor F cameras!

Frame with a dull black finish and with two notches on the upper edge of the frame on the right side. The screen is fixed in its frame by four screws with large heads. The focusing plate has a fine fresnel structure. The screen glass is a little bit larger, the frame on the left and the right side therefore slightly thinner. The yellow lettering «Nikon F», «JAPAN» and the screen type is stamped on the frame.

The following types of screens were produced:
A, B, C, E, F, G1, G2, G3, G4, H1, H2, H3, H4, J

Recorded body numbers between 6770383 and 7034434.

Type 4g: The word «Nikon» has been deleted for use in German market Nikkor F cameras!
