Name Plate Type 1a
Chrome or black, engraved «Nikon», the lower corners are angular and it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder. The back of the name plate is machine hollowed out and a thin strip of sheet metal of identical shape is affixed behind the plate (to reduce weight?).

Chrome or black, engraved «Nikon», the lower corners are angular and it is not possible to mount a Photomic FTN finder. Name plate is entirely solid and there is no sheet metal backing.
