Mirror Housing Type 1
The upper rear edge is high. It is therefore not possible to mount a Photomic T, TN or FTN on the camera body. There are two tabs holding the top of the mirror in place. The hole under the upper end of the mirror locking lever is oval.

Mirror Housing Type 2
Same as type 1: the upper rear edge still is high and the hole under the upper end of the mirror locking lever still is oval. But now there is only one single tab holding the top of the mirror in place.

Mirror Housing Type 3
Same as type 2: the upper rear edge still is high, upper end of the mirror with single tab and oval hole under the upper end of the mirror locking lever. But: Dull black finish. Inside some levers and springs are changed and this is marked by a small white dot on the right rear corner of the uppermost circumferential edge.

Mirror Housing Type 4
Same as type 3: dull black finish, the upper rear edge still is high, upper end of the mirror with single tab. But: the hole under the upper end of the mirror locking lever is more angular and there is no longer a small white dot at the right rear corner of the uppermost circumferential edge.

Mirror Housing Type 5
Same as type 4: dull black finish, upper end of the mirror with single tab, angular hole under the upper end of the mirror locking lever. But: lower edge on the upper rear side for Photomic T, TN and FTN finders.
